I’ve been there \u2014 and I ran the floor. For five semesters at the University of New Mexico, I led a room of student callers doing real B2B outbound: sourcing their own leads, qualifying for fit, and working cold lists from corporate partners to pitch a new program and lock in the meeting. I coached them through the hardest part of the job \u2014 the fear before the dial, the sting of getting a no, the doubt that creeps in when everyone else is making appointments, and you are not. More than 80 of them came through the Advanced Sales Class. I didn’t just teach technique. I stayed with them through the rejection, and I celebrated with them every time someone secured the call.<\/p>\n
